Hajji Kitezala Swaibu

Hajji Swaibu Kitezala is the Founder and Executive Director of Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA), one of Uganda's leading private secondary schools renowned for academic excellence, discipline, innovation, and talent development. Since founding the institution in 2003, he has transformed JIPRA from a modest beginning into a nationally respected centre of learning with a reputation for producing outstanding academic results and nurturing exceptional talent in sports, leadership, and co-curricular activities.

A professional educator, educational planner, and entrepreneur, Hajji Kitezala holds a Bachelor of Arts with Education and a Master's Degree in Economic Policy and Planning. His leadership philosophy combines academic excellence with character formation, innovation, discipline, and practical skills development, ensuring that learners are prepared not only for examinations but also for meaningful leadership and lifelong success.

Under his visionary leadership, JIPRA has consistently ranked among Uganda's high-performing secondary schools, producing numerous students with outstanding UCE and UACE results while expanding opportunities in science, technology, entrepreneurship, arts, and competitive sports. The Academy has also become widely recognized for developing talented athletes who have progressed to professional football and other national sporting platforms.

Beyond JIPRA, Hajji Kitezala has made significant contributions to Uganda's private education sector. He has served as the Chairperson of Private School Owners in Jinja District and has been an active advocate for policies that strengthen private education, improve curriculum implementation, and enhance the quality of learning across the country. His leadership continues to influence educational development, institutional governance, and human capital advancement within the Busoga region and beyond.
